On iPhone apps—one of my favourite quotes

I was recently reminded of this quote; a comment made by my friend and ex-workmate Dan Bentley which came up a while ago when we were discussing iPhone apps in the pub.

“To businesses, iPhone apps are just like websites were in the nineties—everyone wants one but no one knows why…”—Dan Bentley

I think that’s a pretty good way of looking at it, and instantly reinforces that, as with any new technology, you have to know what it’s for and why you need it.
